Generally,
stainless steel bearings have clearance under working conditions. However, in order to achieve a specific purpose, when configuring the bearing, the internal load is obtained by adjusting the method, and the bearing is used in a negative clearance state. This method of use is called preload. For stainless steel bearings, proper preload can be used for the following purposes:
1. Increase the rotation accuracy.
2. Increase stiffness.
3. Increase the life of the bearing. After preloading, the number of loaded rolling elements increases, the load on each rolling element decreases, and the load can be distributed evenly on each rolling element, so the life of the bearing can be increased.
4. Increase the damping of the bearing and reduce the noise. Preloading establishes a stable oil film between the rolling element and the raceway, which increases the damping between the rolling element and the raceway, which can increase the dynamic characteristics of the support structure and reduce noise.
5. Improve the dynamic performance of angular contact stainless steel bearings.
6. Inhibit vibration lines and friction and wear.
7. Control the slip phenomenon of rolling body revolution and rotation.
